Kaszubski age 80 of Monee formerly of South Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on August 8, 2020.  Beloved husband to the late Ada (nee Ratliff) 2012.  Loving father to Jacqueline (Michael) Sportiello, Michael (Theresa) Kaszubski, Dawn (Jarod) Madsen and Brandy (fiancé Alex Cade IV) Guare; beautiful grandfather of 9; great grandfather of  8.

James Joseph Halm, age 88, born in Chicago and a long time resident of Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 3, 2020.  Loving husband of the late Josephine “Jody” Halm nee Bonde (1998).  Beloved father to James A. Halm, Ida Marie (John) Reid and Mark (Jean) Halm.  Cherished grandfather to Ryan (Samantha) Reid, Eric (Jessica) Reid, Mary and Danny Halm.  Dear brother to Robert Halm.  Preceded in death by his siblings Kathryn, Edward, John, Elsie, Ferdinand, Colletta, and George.  Uncle to many.  Preceded in death by his parents George and Elsie Halm.  Jim served proudly in the U.S, Navy and was a founding member of St. Kieran Parish.

Jim was a gentle, loving, humble and soft spoken man who taught us so many lessons simply by the way he lived. He will be extraordinarily missed.

Due to the current circumstances and restrictions caused by Covid-19, services will be private. In the future, we will have a celebration of the life of James J. Halm.

Cynthia “Sam” M. Bowns (nee Cucuro) age 67 of Janesville, WI, formerly of Crete, IL, passed away on Thursday July 30, 2020. Sam is survived by her husband, Loren, daughters, Megan (Levi) and Kirstin (Allison), grandsons Logan, Lincoln, and Hudson. She is also survived by her parents, Ronald and Julia, her brother, Ronald Jr. She was preceded in death by her son, Morgan, and her sister, Carolyn. 

Sam was an amazing woman that mere words cannot adequately capture. She loved her family with a fierceness. Throughout her life, she fought passionately for injustices and equity for all people. In keeping with her master’s in divinity at CTU, she was labeled an activist for her devotion to the ordination of Women Deacons. She embraced people and created community wherever she went. A way we can celebrate her life and contributions to this world, is to live authentically, be our best selves, and continue her great work to make the world a better place. 

Sam loved flowers. However, if you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the following types of organizations of which she was incredibly passionate about: Food Banks and Women’s shelters.

Barbara J. Pawlowski RN (nee Scherer) age 90,of  Chicago and formerly of Glenwood and Beecher.  She was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana passed away on July 29, 2020.  Loving wife to the late Casimer (1994).  Beloved mother to Theodore ‘Ted’ Pawlowski and Paul Pawlowski.  Barbara was an Alumni of Governors State University, Illinois Nurses Association and retired as a Nurses Investigator for the State of Illinois (DCFS).  Barbara was from a German and Irish Heritage but proud of her adopted Polish Heritage. She was a member & insurance supervisor of Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, member of the Polish American Community Fair & former Bingo worker, Chicago Heights Sister City Wadowice, Poland, Women of  Moose Chapter 110, St. Joseph Rosary Sodality, former director of District #9 South Chicago Polish Dancers, Member of Indiana Fraternal Congress and Polish Museum of America Auxiliary.

Beloved wife of the late Elmer (2013).  Loving mother of Ronald (Dorothy) Narcisi of Crete, IL. and Anthony (Celia) Narcisi of Chicago Heights, IL.  Cherished grandmother of Katherine, Giancarlo (Lynsie) , Kristen, Anthony, Michael, Gina and Maria Narcisi.  Great grandmother of Lily and Sarina Narcisi.  Fond Sister of Frances Kostueck, Frank (late Mary) DeLuca and the late Nick (Marian) DeLuca.  Devoted aunt and cousin to many.  She was retired from being a Teachers Aide for School District #170 and a lifelong parishioner of St. Agnes Church.   Arrangements handled by
